Assistant professor, Department of Public Organization Law, Economy and Society, University “Magna Græcia” of Catanzaro, Italy. He teaches “Sociology” and “Ethnography” at the University of Catanzaro.
His research has been characterized by some field studies of social marginalization, youth cultures, spirituality, deviance. In particular: homelessness, prostitution, cultures of drinking, youth counter-cultures, Ignatian spirituality, education systems and authoritarian personalities inside the army, street gangs in Colombia.
He is author of several articles on these various topics as well as of some books, including: Hotel Millestelle (with Antonio Scaglia, 2003); Sopravvivere in strada. Elementi di sociologia della persona senza dimora (2004); Le relazioni alcoliche. Giovani e culture del bere (2011).
